STRICT CONTROLS AT EVERY

PRODUCTION PHASE

As part of the Total Quality philosophy we’ve established at Plus Berries, every player at each part of the process is aware of their role in the mechanism that ultimately allows us to deliver a quality fruit to our customers. From the adequate preparation of the infrastructures, to the collection and transfer to the packing facilities and finally the packaging and quality control prior to transport, there is no process that is unimportant to make our customers’ satisfaction possible.

PICKED AT

THE RIGHT MOMENT

Harvesting is the first step in monitoring the quality of the product. It is of the utmost importance to raise the awareness of the collection staff to select the fruit alongside experts in the field and to reject those fruits that do not meet our quality standards, picking fruit only in its optimum state of maturity and placing it in the container with utmost care.

CERTIFIED

PACKAGING PLANTS

Once the fruit is transported to our packing centers, an initial quality control inspection is carried out in order to allocate each item in a way that best meets the needs and characteristics of the orders, depending on factors such as coloration and maturity of the fruit.

PRESERVATION AT

OPTIMUM TEMPERATURE

From entering our warehouses until the fruit leaves the circuit, we take care and observe that the fruit does not leave the cold chain, guaranteeing its preservation and maximum shelf life to avoid losses to our clients at their points of sale and, of course, to consumers in their homes.

PRODUCT

TRACEABILIT

This process, of paramount importance for food safety, encompasses all stages of production. The fruit is monitored from the time of harvesting, cultivation plots of origin are recorded, and monitoring continues until loading onto the trucks destined to our customers, so that a traceability code allows us to identify the origin of each fruit. This allows our clients to know definitively what treatments have been performed during fruit cultivation and thus ensure that the requirements imposed by the quality certifications of PLUS BERRIES have been fulfilled.

CALIBER

CLASSIFICATION

We are aware that each customer has their tastes and needs regarding the size of fruit that consumers prefer in the more than 30 countries to which we sell our fruit. We make every effort, be it manually or mechanically, to meet the expectations of our customers in this area.
